Call for Papers: 2025 Undergraduate Philosophy Research Conference – Deadline March 7th, 2025

Are you an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto? Have you written a philosophy paper that you are particularly proud of? Interested in sharing the paper with your friends and colleagues? Consider applying to the 2025 Undergraduate Philosophy Research Conference!

Submission deadline is due March 7th, 2025.

Conference

The Department of Philosophy will be running the conference on April 7th and 8th, and this year’s keynote speaker is Professor Pirachula Chulanon (Toronto Metropolitan University). Roughly 9 undergraduate students will present their papers. Presentations will be 30-5 minutes long, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A.

Submissions

We are seeking original and clearly written papers that can be made into 30-35 minute presentations. Suitable papers will be around, but not over, 3500 words in length.  

In order to submit to the conference, upload a short abstract (no more than 250 characters, including name and email address), as well as a paper (no more than 3500 characters excluding footnotes and bibliography with no identifying features of the author) through the following link:

Both the abstract and paper should be uploaded in PDF format. Submissions must be completed by Friday, March 7th, 2025 to be considered. Notice of acceptance is Friday, March 21st, 2025.
